The Washtenaw LWV is participating in the crafting of a new LWVUS position by studying the federal judiciary, including the US Supreme Court.   At the 2024 LWVUS Convention, delegates voted to study the federal judiciary in one year so that a position can be announced at LWVUS Council in June 2025.

 Aspects being considered include judicial accountability, transparency, independence, and ethics.
