Natural Resources (California)

Position

We support the position that the Long Beach Department of Parks Recreation and Marine should be responsible for providing recreational activities which respond to the changing needs of youth and that the Department of Parks Recreation and Marine participate in the coordination of all recreational activities (both public and private) for youth in Long Beach.

Position

We support the adoption of a city plan that provides for orderly growth and that enhances rather than diminishes the quality of life in the community.

The Natural Resources Committee develops education and advocacy activities and forums related to environmental issues.
Current initiatives include:

  • 7th Annual Climate Forum
  • Local education, including League Days
  • Advocacy for state and local environmental issues.
