Voter Registration -- Owens Community College
News

Owens Community College welcomed League of Women Voters Ohio's 2026's Your Voice, Your Vote, Your Power tour today, on September 2!  And what a welcome it was!  Posters, flyers, and chalked-up sidewalks were all visible even before we arrived.  We parked our custom 20-foot Caravel Airstream trailer at the Health Ed Center and right away we started sharing nonpartisan election information and registering voters.  Many students took info on VoteOhio.gov so they could register online.  The other popular handout was the card that listed ALL of the races on the ballot this Fall -- including Governor.

Owens' students showed that young people are passionate about the issues that impact the communities they live in and the future they will inhabit. Wow!  What a great group of students and administrators.  A big thanks to Krista and others on campus who helped make the Your Voice, Your Vote, Your Power tour a success at Owens Community College!

News

Attention LWV Members:  Election Protection volunteers needed!  Every eligible voter deserves to have their vote counted—that’s the cornerstone of our democracy. When eligible, registered voters are turned away from the polls, unable to find their polling place, or otherwise blocked from exercising their rights, our democracy suffers and we are all diminished.  We need more people to help ensure eligible voters have their votes counted here in Ohio. Volunteering for Election Protection could mean a variety of things, from transporting signs to posting on social media to answering the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline.  Click Read More to get involved.
