LWVMC Virtual General Meeting: "Monterey Regional Park District: Creating Healthy Communities & Natural Landscapes through Coalitions" our speaker will be Rafael Payan, PhD, Executive Director - Monterey Peninsula Park District. He will discuss the formation and purpose of the Park District and its properties. League members will be gratified to hear that the League played a role in the formation of the District: since 1972, MPRPD has been instrumental in creating twenty-four parks and open spaces and it now operates twelve of them. Dr. Payan will share the highlights of the 2021-25 Strategic Plan, its goals, objectives and strategies.

This free LWVMC General Meeting, presentation, and question-and-answer period will be conducted over the Zoom Web Conferencing platform. The General Meeting CheckIn will begin at 11:45 am. The meeting will begin at 12:00 pm.
