Take Action for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)  The League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) issued a statement recently, asking President Biden to publish the Equal Rights Amendment before his term ends. The ERA, which will update the U.S. Constitution to protect the equality of rights under the law regardless of sex, “can be added to the Constitution with one action,” according to the statement. “With just months left in office, we are urging President Biden to act to ensure that the ERA is published.”

“The stuff we are hearing is the routine stuff,”  said Pete Zeigler, the deputy director of the Summit County Board of Elections. He said that the start of Election Day in the county was relatively “boring,” with little, if any, drama at the polls. There were some isolated instances of polling machines temporarily going down, but the county had 30 trouble teams at the ready to respond to polling places to resolve any issues.
