On May 28th, the federal court in Concord, New Hampshire struck down the state’s anti-voter law enacted in 2024, declaring it unconstitutional. The law, known as HB 1569, created some of the strictest registration requirements in the nation and, among other things, required documentary proof of citizenship for voter registration.

From Ohio Capital Journal, Jacob Fischler,  May 22: Two police officers who defended the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, sued the Trump administration Wednesday to block the creation of a nearly $1.8 billion fund to pay people said to be victims of judicial weaponization, saying the fund would aid and encourage the pro-Trump rioters who attacked that Capitol that day and still harbor desire to harm the officers. The Ohio Capitol Journal states that the SAVE Act will prevent millions of Americans from voting. It’s not just simple voter ID. It would require a passport or birth, marriage, name-change, and/or divorce documentation to be able to vote.

Excerpted from Columbus Dispatch, March 25, 2026, Amanda BayoA monument honoring women's contributions to Ohio history moved a step closer to reality on March 25 as state leaders, supporters and artists gathered at the Ohio Statehouse for a ceremonial groundbreaking.

The Ohio Women's Monument, planned for the Statehouse's South Plaza, has been 7 years in the making  and is expected to be completed by fall. Leaders involved in this development say the project aims to address a long-standing gap in how women are represented in public spaces.
