Thousands of petitions with 731,306 signatures were submitted to the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office by Citizens Not Politicians (CNP) who want to ban gerrymandering.  It's the last hurdle in their plan to reform the state’s redistricting process by having citizens, not politicians in charge of redrawing Ohio district maps so that they are fair. CNP collected more signatures than required--318,000 more.  One in nine voters in Ohio signed the petition that's been circulated since last year. See the full story in Ohio Capital Journal.
