Education Interest Group

Mission:

The Education Interest Group provides both education and advocacy to the Orange Coast membership supporting the LWV positions that all children have the right to an equitable, quality public education and that a quality public education is essential for a strong, viable and sustainable democratic society.

How We Accomplish Our Mission:

  • Become familiar with League's existing state and national education positions.
  • Respond to alerts from state and national Leagues related to education.
  • Monitor issues from our School Boards of Education
  • Hold meetings, with or without speakers, to discuss education issues.
  • Take action at School Boards of Education as appropriate.

How You Can Get Involved:

  •  Join the Education Interest Group
  •  Share contacts and information about local groups with similar interest.
  •  Provide links to relevant educational information.
  • Recommend speakers.
