The League of Women Voters of Monterey County will present a special in-person evening meeting in Salinas on August 26, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm titled, "Why Vote?".
Guest speakers will be Chris Barrera, President LULAC Salinas Council who's talk is titled "The Ballot Box: Our Most Powerful Civil Right" and Steve Hughes, Emeritus Professor of Politics, CSU Stanislaus and popular CSUMB OLLI instructor who will speak on "The Power of One Vote".
The free meeting is at Sacred Heart Church Parish Hall 22 Stone Street, Salinas Ca 93901
Refreshments will be served at 6 pm. Speakers will begin at 6:30 pm
