This page is reserved for information about the LWV of MD candidate Forums for the 2026 General election. Because the scheduling of these forums is very complex, involving many different schedules, we will be updating each forum as necessary. THIS LINK MAY CHANGE DAILY, OR BEFORE THE DATE OF EACH "SCHEDLUED" FORUM. CHECK BACK REGULARLY, AND BEFORE YOU TRY TO SEE THE FORUM LIVESTREAMED. 

Here are the forums we intend to produce, if candidates are willing to participate. All forums are live streamed to our YouTube page, and links to the recordings are also made available on our Facebook page, and on this page the day after the forum. 

These forums take a lot of work. Many nonpartisan organizations have partnered with us to bring these to you for your information this year. But like the Voters' Guide we produce, if a candidate does not respond to our invitation to provide you with answers to questions, we cannot make them. Where that leaves us with only one candidate, we feel having a forum for that remaining canfdidate may be percieved as partisan, so there will be no forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Frederick County where there is only one candidate willing to participate.

However, we are committed to helping voters find information. We have asked in our invitations for any information a candidate can provide us with a link to a recorded forum that they would like our voters to see. We are also searching for such links ourselves. We will share those links whether the producers are nonpartisan nonprofitds or not. Where those have occurred, they will be posted by the date published. We will also try to find similar information about the races when we are not scheduling forums. If you have any such information about recordings, please send the links to lwvoffc [at] gmail.com. 

Finally, if you have questions you would like candidates to answer, please email them to us at lwvoffc [at] gmail.com. We may rewrite the question into a nonpartisan form, and we will have to fit questions into the time scheduled for each forum, but we will try to use as many as we can.
