The League of Women Voters of Monterey County and Canterbury Woods will present a free talk titled: "November 3, 2026 Ballot Measures-Pros and Cons" from 10:30 am-12:30 pm on Thursday October 8, 2026.
The free meeting will be held at Canterbury Woods, 651 Sinex Avenue, Pacific Grove.
Each election season, a team from LWVMC develops a “Pros & Cons” presentation, a dispassionate summary of the main elements of the California ballot propositions, the arguments in favor of and in opposition to each, and a list of key supporters and opponents along with information about financial contributors.
The goal of the presentation is to give voters the information needed to develop their own opinions about the propositions and to serve as a launchpad for further personal research. Viewers of past presentations consistently report that watching Pros & Cons is a much more engaging way of learning about the propositions than studying the text alone by candlelight as the election deadline nears.
