Linda Horvath is the Secretary for our League and former elected Director. She joined Hudson's league in 2020 when "I became completely baffled about where we were as a country and how we got here." A friend introduced her to LWV. "I felt this was an organization that could help ferret out who, what, where, and how governments, politicians, and civic issues were affecting our lives," she said. "And, while educating myself I could belong to an organization that helps inform others."

Linda grew up in Willoughby and Mentor Ohio. Along with her husband, she graduated from KSU. They promptly moved from Ohio to Indiana, California, Florida, and then returned to Ohio. They have lived in Hudson for over 40 years.

She has her teaching certification through UC-SF and was part of a KSU graduate program that focused on three departments, Psychology, Family Studies, and Education. She was a Graduate Assistant for two related research studies, resulting in work with preschool, middle school, and high school students.

She's also worked in retailing as an assistant buyer and department manager for various department stores in Florida and Ohio, handled bookkeeping for a small family business and has also held various positions in banking , including branch manager for Mayfield-Warrensville NCB Bank.
