One of the major services the League of Women Voters provides to our community is providing volunteer speakers at various community and educational meetings. Speakers generally talk about basic voting rules and upcoming issues on the ballot.

In order to fulfill these requests from the community, we need League members who are interested in volunteering to serve as speakers.

Our Community Speakers is a group is League volunteers who have been trained to talk to community groups about the ins and outs of voting. This is a great volunteer opportunity for members who have limited time and aren't looking for big commitment. The best part is that you don't have know anything about voting or the upcoming issues on the ballot to join the group!

We will be holding a training for volunteers on Aug. 5, 1:30pm at the Northside Library Branch. This training will teach you everything you need to feel comfortable talking to community groups. We will provide you with resources and answer any questions you might have. -
