The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization that empowers voters and defends democracy through education, advocacy, and civic engagement. There are about 700 local and 50 state Leagues across the U.S., all part of the League of Women Voters, along with the national organization, LWVUS. Each League operates independently but shares the same nonpartisan principles and focuses on advocacy, voter education, and community engagement in their regions.Learn more about our history here.
