The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that depends on the generosity of our members and supporters to empower voters and defend democracy. Every gift, large or small, helps sustain our work throughout Central Ohio.

 League Sustainers

Become a League Sustainer by making a monthly, tax-deductible gift to LWVMC. Monthly giving provides reliable support that helps us plan for the future and respond to the needs of our community. League Sustainer gifts are separate from annual membership dues and remain with the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus to support our local work.

 When setting up your monthly gift through Zeffy, you may notice an optional contribution to support the Zeffy platform. This additional tip is completely optional and does not go to the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus. You may adjust the amount, including selecting $0, before completing your donation.

 End-of-the-Year Giving

Our annual end-of-the-year giving campaign is an opportunity to make a special one-time gift to support the League's mission and operations. Donations help ensure a strong start to the coming year.

 Democracy In Action

Democracy In Action is LWVMC's signature annual fundraising event, held each spring. The event honors individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to our community while raising critical funds to support the League's work.

Patron and sponsorship opportunities are available.

 Honor and Memorial Giving

A tribute gift is a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a special occasion, or recognize someone's accomplishments. Memorial gifts may also be made in remembrance of a friend or family member.

 Tribute and memorial gifts may be made by check or online through the Columbus Foundation.

 IRA Charitable Giving

Eligible donors may make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from an IRA to the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus. These gifts may provide tax advantages and may count toward required minimum distributions. Please consult your financial or tax advisor to determine whether a QCD is right for you.

Beneficiary of a Life Insurance Policy

Naming LWVMC as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy is a simple way to make a lasting impact. In some cases, these gifts may provide tax benefits and can help create a legacy of support for future generations. Please consult your financial, legal, or tax advisor for guidance.

 Planned Giving and The Columbus Foundation

By planning today, you can help ensure that the League's work continues for years to come.

The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus has an organizational fund at The Columbus Foundation, allowing supporters to create a lasting charitable legacy through estate plans, gifts of appreciated assets, or other planned giving options.  Support Our Operating Fund

You can make a direct gift to the League's operating account through our Columbus Foundation portal. Gifts made through this portal help support the League's day-to-day operations and general expenses.

 Support Our Endowment and Savings Fund

You can also make a gift to the League's savings and endowment fund through our Columbus Foundation fund portal. These gifts help build the League's long-term financial sustainability and allow our investments to grow over time. Please note that donations made to this fund are not deposited directly into the League's checking account for general operating expenses.

 Kroger Community Rewards

Make a gift that keeps on giving every time you shop at Kroger.

By linking your Kroger Plus Card to the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus, Kroger will make a donation to the League at no additional cost to you.

Getting started is easy:

  • Sign in to your Kroger account.
  • Visit the Community Rewards page.
  • Search for LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS/METRO COL or enter organization number HH582.
  • Select and save.

Your personal rewards and fuel points are not affected.
