Feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world but unsure what to do about it? You’re not alone — and you’re not powerless.  Join the LWVBG for a practical, heart-centered workshop.   

Whether you’re brand-new to advocacy or already engaged, this session offers clarity, community, and concrete tools to help you take the next right step. Currently, Medicaid in Schools only applies to children with disabilities from low-income households who are enrolled in Medicaid.  Ohio is in the process of seeking federal approval to extend Medicaid in Schools coverage to all students who are enrolled in Medicaid -- not just those with disabilities.

During this forum we will learn more about how these programs work; their contribution to health-servcies schools are able to provide, and much more.  (Presented by LWVO's Education Committee.)

Election Hero Day is a nonpartisan, national celebration recognizing the tremendous contributions that election officials, their staff, and poll workers make to ensure a safe, secure voting experience for all Americans. Taking place on November 3, 2025, nonprofits, business leaders, brands, public officials, and more will unite to honor the election heroes in our communities. 

With your support, Election Hero Day will help boost election official morale ahead of Election Day and send a clear message to the public that we support our friends and neighbors who play such a vital role in preserving our democracy.

Because Your Vote Should Matter!

Come take part in a community conversation about Ohio congressional redistricting. We’ll answer questions about the process, deep dive into what’s wrong with the current map, and hear from you about what changes would make the map better.

If the official mapmakers won't do their job -- they won't share a map or hold public hearings -- we'll have to show them how it's done.  (Presented by Fair Districts.)

News flash: Governor DeWine is convening the Oho Redistricting Commission next week.

This first meeting of the Ohio Redistricting Commission is now scheduled just ten days before the October 31 deadline in the Ohio Constitution for the Commission to have proposed and passed a map. Not much time!
