  According to The New Yorker magazine, Desmond "identifies specific practices and policies that consign tens of millions to destitution... and also benefits some of us." Called "elegantly written and fiercely argued" by BookBrowse.com, this 189-page book provides new ways of thinking and action when considering the burden of poverty in America.

Mindful Matters Series:  The public is invited to hear Perrysburg City Administrator, Joseph Fawcett, and Perrysburg Councilwoman, Kerry Wellstein, give an update on the Downtown Revitalization Project.  Learn about infrastructure improvements, creation of public spaces, and landscaping / public art installations.  Learn about the exciting plans for downtown Perrysburg!  (Presented in partnership with Way Public Library.)

Board Meeting -- Members welcome to attend and observe your Board in action.

A bipartisan panel of elections officials and other nonpartisan elections experts will help educate participants on Ohio's post-election processes that ensure election security and accuracy. We will cover critical topics such as ballot tabulation, recounts, audits, and provisional voting. The panel will explain how election results are certified and the safeguards in place to ensure secure elections. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.

Presented by LWV Ohio (LWVO), this event is open to the public and part of LWVO’s ongoing efforts to combat voter misinformation and promote voter literacy.
