What would you like our League to accomplish in the upcoming year?  Bring your ideas to our members-only Annual Planning Meeting and share them with other members.  We'll come away with a list of priorities based upon your input.  We will also be voting on proposed revisions to the LWVPA investment policy. The current policy and the proposed policy appeared in the January 2023 Voter.  Your League Board will provide a soup and salad luncheon beginning at noon, followed by a brainstorming session.  (Be sure to click "Read More" below.)

Topical Tuesdays:  Dr. Kefa M. Otiso, Professor of Geography at Bowling Green State University, will join us for a presentation on the socioeconomic effects of toxic algal blooms.  In this ongoing research, Dr. Otiso looks at the socioeconomic effects of HABs in Kenya’s Lake Victoria waters – though the research is also applicable to the Great Lakes region of North America.  (Presented in partnership with Way Public Library.)

Ft. Meigs Historic Site Museum

Get a "behind the scenes" tour of the Fort Meigs Historic Site Museum -- a tour that is in conjunction with our 12/13/22 Topical Tuesdays discussion of the Historic Site.  Ashley Phlipot, Executive of the Fort Meigs Historic Site, will lead the tour.  Ms. Phlipot has been with the Fort for fourteen years and is fascinated by the lesser known stories of the War of 1812.  (Presented in partnership with Way Public Library.)
