This is the final weekend that ESHB 1141, Improving Access to the Death with Dignity Law, has a chance to be passed. On behalf of terminally ill Washingtonians, please urge your Senator to help bring this bill to the floor for a vote!  TAKE ACTION

SB5476 In State v. Blake, the Washington Supreme Court ruled that the state law criminalizing possession of controlled substances is unconstitutional. That ruling gives the legislature the opportunity to adopt a new approach to substance use disorders—once that is centered in public health, not arrest and incarceration. SB 5476 is a positive step in this direction and will ensure that we don’t end up with a patchwork of local laws that will just take us back to the failed war on drugs. TAKE ACTION

HB 1091 -Send this message to your senator to pass the Clean Fule Standard.  TIme is running short.
HB1091Reduces greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the carbon intensity of transportation fuel. This is a new version of the clean fuels bill that failed to achieve passage in the past two sessions. The intent is to reduce greenhouse gas release from the fuels we will continue to use, to improve the air quality by reducing pollution, and to ensure Washington has the incentive to create a clean fuel industry.

Senate Bill 5373, or Washington STRONG, will secure up to $16 billion for investments to assist in post-pandemic recovery, reduce the state’s carbon footprint, and reduce the effects of climate change and pollution in marginalized communities both urban and rural. Funding begins with tax obligation bonds that can begin achieving results quickly and that will be repaid with a tax on carbon. Last week, the bill received a hearing in the Senate Committee on Environment, Energy and Technology, but we need a vote in that committee to move it toward a vote on the Senate floor.  TAKE ACTION
