Our mission at the nonpartisan League of Women Voters has been singular and unwavering for over 100 years: to uphold and protect our democratic system, and to ensure the right of every American to vote. Upholding our democratic system means preserving our form of government that consists of three co-equal branches of government regulated by a system of checks and balances.

Survey results
After the November 2024 Election, we created a survey to help us understand what resources voters found most helpful when making their voting choices. We put the word out on our social media channels, newsletters, website and on Yubanet, The Union, KNCO and KVMR. We received an impressive 68 responses, which will be a great help as we plan our election work in the future. Thank you to the community for your participation! Below are summaries of the results.

Ad Fontes Chart

There are many news sources to choose from. It is difficult to find facts amid the misstatements and reporting that is meant to mislead the reader. Ad Fontes is a nonprofit company with the goal of combating political polarization and media bias by publishing this Media Bias chart.

Survey

Beginning next week, the League of Women Voters will officially transition to a new membership system for all Leagues across the country. We are excited about this transition as it will streamline our League’s administration of membership, and will increase our share of membership dues. On a League level, this is expected to increase membership around the country and increase our ability to empower voters and defend democracy.

February newsletter

In the February newsletter, we ask you to fill out a four-question survey about how and where you found resources to make your voting decisions in the November Election, give a heads up about League membership administration, suggest some great community activities, and more. Check it out!

January 2025 The Voter

We are grateful to everyone who helped make 2024 outstanding in every way. In our January 2025 The Voter newsletter we take a look at 2024 highlights. We also begin planning ahead with a brief, four-question survey about where you found information that helped you vote in the 2024 Election. This will help us be more efficient and effective in future elections.
