WILMINGTON — Today, Protect Democracy filed an amicus brief on behalf of the League of Women Voters of North Carolina, and six registered North Carolina voters who are US citizens and meet the eligibility requirements for voting in the 2024 election.
It’s 2024. 101 years have passed since the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was proposed, and women’s equal rights are still not enshrined in the US Constitution.
