
The General election and High Springs city election are upon us. Below are some important dates to keep in mind for both elections.
- Oct 7 is the deadline to register to vote or update your party affiliation
- Oct 21 to Nov 3 early voting takes place with polls open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Registered Alachua County voters can vote at any early voting location. Check the Supervisor of Elections office website for a full list of polling locations.
- Oct 24 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot*
- Nov 5 is Election Day! Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must vote at their designated precinct location. You can find your precinct location here.

In September, LWV of Alachua County partnered with the UF Bob Graham Center for Public Service hosted candidate forums for each office appearing on the primary ballot. You may watch a recording of the forums on our YouTube Channel.
*Please be aware that ALL Vote by Mail applications expired in December 2022. Now everyone must re-enroll in Vote by Mail every two years. The new state Vote by Mail form went into effect April 17. You can still sign up for Vote by Mail online. You can check your Registration and Vote by Mail status here.
