On June 23, the League of Women Voters of Alachua County and its affiliate student chapter at the University of Florida, and the UF Bob Graham Center for Public Service hosted a forum for candidates running in the Florida Primary and Gainesville City elections taking place on August 20. Candidates running for the following races participated: 

• Alachua County Sheriff
• Alachua County Commission District 1
• Alachua County School Board Districts 2,4
• Gainesville City Commission at Large A and District 1
• Florida State Representative District 22
