LWV of Alachua County is proud to partner with the Matheson History Museum on their Voices and Votes: Alachua County exhibit. As part of the programming around that exhibit and the 2024 election, the Matheson is presenting Women Politicking Politely with Dr. Kimberly Voss.
Learn about six women who laid the foundation for improving women's equality in the U.S. Dr. Voss’s presentation includes the relatively unknown stories of six important women who laid the foundation for improving women’s equality in the U.S. While they largely worked behind the scenes, they made a significant impact. In the group are two female political operatives who worked behind the scenes along with four female journalists who also worked within the government to advance women’s rights during the 1950s through the 1970s.
LWVAC will be tabling at the event and welcomes volunteers to man the table. Please contact vote [at] lwv-alachua.org (Voter Services) to sign up.
