To Review Maps
- Go to the Florida Redistricting Website and click on Submitted Plans.
- Scroll down to the list of maps.
- Each map has an ID number in blue, a plan type (House, Congressional, Senate), the name of person/entity who/which submitted the map and detail.
- If you want to view the map click on the ID Number.
- When you get to the next page click on Web Map link that appears in blue font.
Since the Congressional and Senate maps drawn in 2016 were considered constitutionally compliant, advocates have suggested beginning with those as a baseline and then adjusting for population changes. In drawing the new maps Senate staff were attentive to the prior districts that were minority opportunity districts.

To Submit Written Comment on Redistricting
- Go to the Florida Redistricting Website and click on Get Involved
- Scroll down and Click on Provide Public Input Here.
- Complete the form.
Suggestions for Effective Comments*
- Make them specific and mappable
- Write “from the heart” about your own community
- Explain what you want and why
- Include map number if possible
Avoid Ineffective Comments*
- Critical without offering a solution
- Using canned talking points
- Too general or about communities other than your own
