sign or veto.

Since the 26 th Amendment went into effect in 1971, Leagues across the state have engaged
and partnered with students and young citizens in various voting-related activities including but
not limited to on-campus voter registration, mock elections, high school essay scholarships,
and providing materials and resources to student groups for their voting related activities.
Take Action:
Call, email or write Governor Little and tell him to veto H124 because it will disenfranchise

Suggested message:
- Student IDs are free to students; all other forms cost money resulting in a poll tax in violation of the 24 th Amendment to the US Constitution.
- Students currently struggle with voting for a variety of reasons including lack of transportation, confusion around the process for registering and voting, and lack of on-campus polling places. Disallowing the student ID would add another obstacle for this group.
- The Secretary of State has repeatedly stated that there have been no voting fraud cases amongst this group of voters so what is to be gained by making it more difficult for our youngest voters?
