Every candidate running to represent District 11 in the Idaho State House and Senate has confirmed their participation in a Congressional and Legislative Candidate Forum scheduled from 6 to 8 pm on October 10 at 205 S. 6th Ave., Caldwell. Two of four candidates seeking to represent Idaho’s District 1 in the United State Congress have also confirmed. Caldwell Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Travis Palmer will moderate the forum with each candidate introducing themselves and accepting written questions from the audience. League of Women Voters of Idaho Co-President Betsy McBride will end the evening with a nonpartisan demonstration of ranked-choice voting, one component of a proposed change to Idaho’s general election system currently on the November ballot.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters of Idaho. As nonpartisan organizations, the co-sponsors neither endorse nor oppose any candidate or political party or the proposed election systems change.

Campaign materials and information about voting in Idaho will be available. Light refreshments will be served. Candidate profiles are available at Vote411.org, the League of Women Voters of Idaho’s voter guide.
