The 2024 biennial Council of the League of Women Voters of Idaho is scheduled for TWO extraordinary Zoom gatherings - Thursday evening, June 6, 2024, will be 7- 8:30 p.m.MDT, 6-7:30 p.m.PDT for speakers on voting methods and the open primary initiative and a ranked choice mock election. Saturday is for the official business and more League program, i.e. fun. The Saturday, June 8, 2024 session, also via Zoom, is scheduled for 9a.m. PDT, 10 a.m. MDT. There will be a break for lunch and we expect to adjourn at 1:45 PDT, 2:45 MDT.

The official and required business of the Council agenda on Saturday includes election of officers and member direction to the state board. The larger portion of the Saturday agenda includes; results of the ranked choice mock election from Thursday night, and reports and all member dialogues about the legislative session, the May primary, voter registration, VOTE411, lawsuits, the LWVUS national convention and MORE.

All LWVID members are invited to attend as either delegates or observers. The only difference is that only delegates vote on motions. All delegates and observers must register to determine a quorum and have a listing for materials to be sent in advance. Local Leagues and the Boise Area MAL (Members at Large)Unit have been provided the registration materials for their members. The LWVID Bylaws list VOTING delegates to Council as:
A. The presidents of the local Leagues or, in the event the president is unable to attend, an alternate, and the chairs of the MAL units or, in the event the chair is unable to attend, an alternate;
B. Two delegates chosen by the board of each local League; and
C. The members of the state board.
