Tuesday, April 19, 2022 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the LWV Elmhurst and the Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition are cosponsoring a program in advance of Earth Day (Friday, April 22, 2022).
Please join us for Urban Forest Stewardship: Native Tree Selection & Community Engagement.
A diverse urban forest improves wildlife habitat, increases pollinator populations and helps build resiliency to climate change.

This virtual program will explore Elmhurst's tree canopy and the importance of species diversity, highlight excellent native trees for northern Illinois, and discuss community engagement opportunities to help build a healthier urban forest.

Our speaker will be Trinity Pierce, the Chicago Region Trees Initiative Stewardship Manager at the Morton Arboretum.
