A Note about Dues

Dues are NOT tax deductible. The LWV Elmhurst is a 501(c)(4) corporation. Memberships are annual and include per-member payments (PMPs) to the LWVUS ($32 for individual members and $16 for students and each additional household member) and the LWVIL (also $32 for individual members and $16 for students and each additional household member). *The LWVIL features an education fund that our members have the option of contributing to if they so choose. This is separate from dues paid to the LWV Elmhurst. Donations to the LWVIL Education Fund are tax deductible.

How to Join/Renew and Pay Dues by Mail (Check)

If you prefer to mail in your forms and dues, click here to download and print our membership application. Please enclose any paperwork with your check (made out to the Elmhurst League of Women Voters) and mail all items to: The Elmhurst League of Women Voters, PO Box 12, Elmhurst, IL 60126.

Promoting networking among media outlets and other local organizations

Helping with PR efforts in anticipation of/as follow-up to LWV Elmhurst events

Taking RSVPs or giving general reminders about events

Coordinating carpools as needed

Verifying directory information

Writing invitations and thank-you notes

Assisting with set up or cleanup at events that require it

Program

Collaborating with Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition to organize and promote program the LWV Elmhurst cosponsors with that organization

Taking photos (for our website and newsletter and potential distribution to media)

Tracking what appear to be popular program trends in other local Leagues and brainstorming possible implementation here
