Our guest speaker will be Karla Hagemeister co-founder of True Colors community center for LGBTQIA+ youth.

"True Colors is a new drop-in youth center for LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies. We have been in the local news lately, sadly having to combat misinformation about our purpose, policies, and activities. As a founding member of the board of directors for True Colors, I am proud of the impact our work has already had for youth and their families- creating a joyful and protected space where middle and high school students can be fully themselves. Starting a new non-profit is not for the faint of heart, especially in today’s polarized environment. Being informed, engaged, and prepared to step into the spotlight to stand up for your values and things that are important to your community is essential to creating a community that truly cares for all." - Karla H.
