Help our elections run smoothly. Show you value democracy.
Poll workers are essential to making every election a success and ensuring that every citizen who has registered to vote is able to do so.
Paid positions are available for every election. Pay and opportunities available vary by jurisdiction. You could be an election judge that interacts directly with the voters, a technical support person that sets up and operates voting equipment, or a supervisor or manager who makes final decisions at the polling place and stays in contact with the election authority. Each type of poll worker serves in bipartisan teams to ensure the integrity of the election.
To be a poll worker, you are required to be a registered Missouri voter. You do not need to work in the same place where you would ordinarily vote. You must declare a party affiliation, but there is no need to be an official or formal member of any party or political organization.
To apply, you will need to contact your local election authority.
