In this section, we provide some resources for staying informed about your community and the elections and governmental actions that affect you and your family. During election seasons, we are focused especially on providing information on how to vote and what will face you on your ballot.

Information on How to Vote in the Metro St. Louis area

Complete information for the Missouri side of the metro area is found on our Vote page, with some supplemental notes for St. Louis City and County voters on a separate page.

Also see the relevant information summarized in a convenient form in our Register and Vote brochure.

Know What Is Happening in Missouri State Government

The League tracks legislation and policy. During the legislative session, LWVMO sends out Legislative Bulletins. Click here to see the Jan. 7 bulletin. LWVMO also sends timely alerts to League members to encourage you to contact your elected officials about legislation moving in Jefferson City.

Keep track of the League's work in the monthly In League Reporter newsletter. You can view or download the current and back issues of the Metro League's In League Reporter on this website. Send a note to league [at] lwvstl.org if you want to be added to the e-mail distribution list for the ILR.

During the Missouri legislative session, which extends from early January through mid-May, we publish legislative bulletins and sometimes action alerts.

Recently we collaborated with YMCA on a program for high school students and produced an interesting booklet on Women in Politics in the St. Louis metro area, including photos of the women officeholders.

In the Issues section of the website, you will find the complete national League of Women Voters positions, the Missouri state League of Women Voters positions, and our local Metro St. Louis positions.

Given our history as a women's organization first, we also are collecting some of our information on the history of women's suffrage and the progress of women in general on our Women's History Resources page.

Otherwise, this entire website is a resource!
