Join or Renew Your Membership

3 Members Register Voters on Constitution Day

Joining the League is a great way to play an active role in your community and in our democracy! Everyone is welcome--membership in the League of Women Voters is open to anyone 16 years of age or older.

When you join the League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis, you are also joining the national and state Leagues. Starting Feb. 3, 2025, you can pay the recommended dues of $75 or choose any amount over $20 with 33% of your dues payment going to LWVUS, 47% percent going to LWV of Missouri, and 20 percent going to LWVSTL.

After completing the membership process, you will have a chance to make a tax-deductible donation to LWVSTL. Watch your email for a Member Interest Survey to help us match your interests to our work to educate and empower voters!

Membership Dues

  • Individual members: $75 per year is the recommended, or pay what you can ($20 minimum)
  • You can add a second member at the same rate as the first membership. Each will need to provide a unique email address.
  • Life members: In appreciation of their dedication to democracy, Life Members (members for more than 50 years) are exempt from membership dues.

Making Dues Payments

  • Online, you can pay by credit card, debit card, or direct bank transfer (ACH transfer).
  • You will receive an online confirmation and an email receipt for your payment. NOTE: Only the LWVSTL portion of your membership dues will be tax-deductible. The receipt will show the 20% of your dues going to LWVSTL and can serve as your tax receipt.
  • Your membership dues payment will show up as three transactions on your account - one each to LWVSTL, LWVMO, and LWVUS. You will be a member of all three!
  • Keep things simple by automatically renewing each year!  Just select auto-renewal when you are paying your dues.
  • Those who don’t have an email address or use the internet can make out a check to “LWVUS” for their dues and send it to LWV of Metro St. Louis at 8706 Manchester Rd., Suite 104, St. Louis, MO 63144. Please complete and attach this form. If you want to make a donation beyond your dues, you need to write a second check payable to LWVSTL.

Making Donations

  • Do you want to make an extra donation in addition to paying your dues?  Thanks, we appreciate it!
  • You will have the option to make a direct donation to LWVSTL when paying your dues, or you can use the Donate page on this website any time of year.
  • All donations to LWVSTL are fully tax-deductible, whether made on the LWV Member Portal or directly. 

Renewing Your Membership

Did you come to this page to renew your membership? That's fantastic! Log into ChapterSpot (the membership portal) by clicking the link, the blue button above, or the menu button that says Join or Renew and follow the directions there. If you have never signed into ChapterSpot, see the directions under the next heading. 

Once you are in the ChapterSpot system, you will receive an email asking you to renew, and if you have signed up for auto-renew, you will get a reminder that your membership is automatically renewing.

Accessing the LWV Member Portal

From this website you can reach the LWV Member Portal run by ChapterSpot. Instead of using the link, you also can use the orange button on the upper left hand corner of this website to login. Enter the email address associated with your membership. You will be sent an email with a verification code in it, and you will need to enter the code into the form. You do not need a password.  From the portal you can manage your membership or change your contact information.
