League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis is partnering with the sororities and fraternities of the Divine 9 in a joint effort to increase voter turnout in municipal elections. Statistics show that in the last municipal school board election, voter turnout in 5 of the school districts was extremely low. The turnout ranged from 10% (lowest) to 17% (highest) in these areas. The areas are Normandy, Jennings, Riverview, Hazelwood, and Ferguson-Florissant school districts. Our aim to accomplish this goal is voter registration and voter education. If you are interested in helping with voter registration, canvassing to remind citizens to vote, and educating citizens on statewide issues. We need your help.
