We are excited to have a renewed and organized focus on fundraising for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. We will have various member and donor engagement events, annual fund solicitations with obvious benefits of support, giving days like Giving Tuesday and Give STL Day, and increased stewardship efforts.

The Fall Theatre Party Fundraiser is being planned! A League event will be held at Stray Dog Theatre on Sunday, October 5, before and after the 2 pm performance of the play, “The Minutes.” Volunteers are needed to solicit sponsors and underwriters, prepare the program and online invitation, procure refreshments, and serve as hosts and hostesses at the event. Contact Sue Williams if you would like to volunteer.

The LWV Metro St. Louis Trivia Night again will be held at the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves on Saturday, February 28th. Ed Voss chairs this event. We’re looking for committee members; many volunteers are needed to support this event.

The work of our members and leadership makes a difference, but I know people are feeling discouraged and overwhelmed by the political system right now. But for over 100 years, the League of Women Voters Metro St. Louis has empowered voters through nonpartisan education, advocacy, and outreach. From registering first-time voters to breaking down complex ballot issues, we help people engage, vote, and be heard. This is not the time to give up; this is the time to double down. Let's shape the future together and protect our democracy.
