Please join us at the Stray Dog Theatre to enjoy an afternoon performance of Lizzie, from Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer, Tim Maner, and Alan Stevens Hewitt.
In 1892, beneath the sweltering heat of a Massachusetts summer, tension simmers inside the Borden household. When Lizzie’s parents are found brutally murdered, all eyes turn to their seemingly sweet, slightly strange daughter. Set to a scorching all-female punk rock score, Lizzie is a fever dream of rebellion and revenge. Part concert, part gothic horror, this is the legendary tale of a woman pushed to the edge—and what happens when she decides not to stay there.
NOTE: "Lizzie" is for mature audiences. This punk-rock musical contains references to violence, sexual content, depictions of abuse and mental illness, and strong language. The staging includes strobe lights, bright flashes, haze, and loud sound.
