League members Victoria Turner, Nancy Price and Angie Dunlap shared information for voters at “Songs to Save Democracy” at the Sheldon Concert Hall on Oct. 24.
The concert was headlined by the 442s, with special guests pianist Peter Martin and singer Anita Jackson. Click here for highlights of the music with messages to motivate voting.
"Some voters seem to be suffering from frustration and apathy, and a lack of belief in democracy," Dunlap said. "That is why an event like this is so needed. Music inspires. Helping us celebrate our system that should be 'of, by, and for the people.'”
Collaborating partners were the League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis, the ACLU, Missouri Voter Protection Coalition, Women’s Voices Raised for Social Justice and Webster Groves Presbyterian Church.
