Nearly 120 League members and friends attended LWV WI’s State Issues Briefing on October 28 at Madison College. Here are summaries and resources from the day of presentations and small group sessions.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission considers several critical matters in its December 12, 2017 meeting, including ballot design, agency staffing and a UW-Madison study on the impact of the photo ID requirement. A statement from LWV WI discusses these matters.

Assembly Bill 637 seeks to address some problems with the current absentee ballot process. While we appreciate the intent of this legislation, our statement outlines serious problems including the fact that it creates a two-tier system in which all absentee ballots are not treated equally.
