Voter Registration Scam Alert

The League has learned of an active voter registration text scam.  People are getting unsolicited text messages that say they're not registered to vote or they are not recorded as active.  They are then encouraged to click on the provided link to remedy the issue.

County registrar's offices do NOT text voters to tell them they're not registered or they need to update their voter information.

If you do have any questions about your voter registration status, we encourage you to contact the Orange County Registrar of Voters office (or the one in your county if you don’t live in Orange County).  It’s very simple to verify your status:  https://ocvote.gov/vlt/
