The League of Women Voters of Pocatello is participating in National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 17, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Idaho State University.
We will be hosting voter registration events at the Pond Student Union Building and the Eli M. Oboler Library. The League wants to make sure everyone who wants the opportunity to vote on Election Day is registered. League and student volunteers will be out in force to assist voters who want to register or update their registration if they have moved.
Those registering to vote need to be 18 years old by the Nov. 5 election, a resident of Idaho and U.S. citizen. Registrants must provide their Idaho driver’s license or state ID number. Oct. 11 is the deadline to preregister or update registration in Idaho, although voters may register at the polls on voting day.
National Voter Registration Day is an annual nonpartisan campaign to register voters in communities and online. NVRD leverages the collective impact of thousands of community partners, including hundreds of League of Women Voters groups, nationwide, every year.
The League of Women Voters of Pocatello empowers voters through education, registration and get-out-the-vote activities. The League hosts candidate forums and registration drives while also providing trusted and timely election information on VOTE411.org.
