LWV of Alachua County is proud to partner with the Matheson History Museum on their Voices and Votes: Alachua County exhibit. As part of the programming around that exhibit and the 2024 election, the Matheson is presenting Democracy in Florida: A Work in Progress with Steve Noll, Ph.D.

Dr. Steve Noll's presentation “Democracy in Florida: A Work in Progress” is a companion program to the “Voices and Votes: Alachua County” exhibit and the Smithsonian traveling exhibit – “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America.” Dr. Noll’s talk examines the history of democracy in Florida, as individuals and groups fought (and are still fighting) to be included in the body politic.

LWVAC will be tabling at the event and welcomes volunteers to man the table. Please contact vote [at] lwv-alachua.org (Voter Services) to sign up.

If you would like to attend the event as a guest, please use the links below to RSVP to attend either in person or via Zoom.
