Most meetings were observed in person by Ann Sullivan-Smoot. An agenda was presented for
each meeting and attendance was taken. There was an opportunity for public comment during the
meetings. Since the meetings have generated a lot of media attention, our report this month is fairly
short.
Two main issues have been predominating the meetings:
-The resignation of Melissa Fireside. This situation leaves the commission with an even
number of votes. Applications for filling the vacant position are currently open. Details are
on the county website.
-Issues with union contract, Kaiser premiums related to Clackamas County Employees. The
meetings this month have been attended by county employees, with the tone of the meetings
professional but urgent. Negotiations are ongoing.
