The League of Women Voters held its annual holiday brunch on Saturday, December 6th, welcoming more than 80 guests for a warm and engaging celebration. Featured speaker Cheryl D. S. Walker, Managing Director of Operations and Lead Legal Counsel for the Children’s Defense Fund, delivered a compelling presentation on “Using the Power of Collective Liberation to Win.” Walker highlighted how communities can harness shared purpose, civic engagement, and collaboration to advance justice and meaningful change for children and families. Her message resonated strongly with attendees, who left inspired and energized to continue the League’s work in the year ahead.
