National Convention is a League experience unlike any other, as delegates representing state and local Leagues vote on the LWVUS Board of Directors, Nominating Committee, bylaws amendments, budget, and League priorities. In addition to plenary sessions, Convention also includes dynamic presentations, practical trainings, and inspiring content that support our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy.
In-person attendees will have full access to plenary sessions, trainings, and networking opportunities. Virtual attendees can fully participate in live-streamed plenary sessions from anywhere. Information on Pre-Convention trainings, breakout sessions, and confirmed speakers will be available in the coming months.

Pre-Convention Trainings
In order to better prepare attendees for the plenary proceedings during Convention, a series of Pre-Convention trainings will be offered. Participation in these will be mandatory. This is to ensure all attendees, regardless of how they will be participating (virtual or in-person), are prepared with the important foundational knowledge on the plenary process to ensure full participation. Recordings will be posted to the Pre-Convention sessions here as the sessions occur. Even if you are not registered yet for Convention, you may watch these sessions.

The 2026 Convention will be located at the Hilton Columbus Downtown. The Hilton is a short walk from over 150 dining & entertainment venues located in the Short North Arts District, nearby Nationwide Arena and North Market. The Hilton has a display of artists' work, which across their two towers is comprised of nearly 400 original pieces by Central Ohio artists. Hilton Columbus Downtown also offers an indoor pool, two fitness centers and several on-property dining options.
