We’re so glad you’re interested in the League of Women Voters of Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Area, a civic organization that believes democracy is stronger when everyone has the information and opportunity to participate. Whether you are new to the League or considering membership for the first time, we welcome your energy, ideas, and commitment.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots nonprofit working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure that everyone is represented in our democracy. We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation at the local, state, and national levels.
Your membership in LWV HHI-BA includes membership in the National and State Leagues. You will receive our newsletter, action alerts, and regular communications from LWVUS and LWVSC. Hearing directly from all three levels of the League will keep you informed on local, state and national issues. Your annual dues supports all the League's levels.Membership dues for all Leagues are pay-what-you-can. The recommended dues rate for all Leagues across the country is $75. The minimum dues rate is $20. Your membership will expire one year after you join/renew.
