Ask your House Representative to vote on April 14 to non-concur with the Senate's version of H.4756 that substitutes an outdoor portable restroom ("Porta Potty") for a single user facility. Non-concurrence in the House would send this bill to a conference committee where these very harmful provisions can be removed.

Several extreme abortion bans are now pending in the South Carolina Senate. S.1095 may be heard in subcommittee very soon. Ask your senator to vote NO on S.1095 and all extreme abortion bans. Even lawmakers who generally support abortion bans can’t ignore overwhelming opposition from their constituents. #StopTheBansSC

S.1060, the Educator Safety and Classroom Authority Act, affirms the authority of teachers to implement classroom management. It asks for teachers and administrators to administer appropriate discipline measures to ensure a conducive learning environment in the classroom and school. Call your state senator and ask that the bill be immediately heard in subcommittee due to its late introduction in the two-year legislative session.

Please contact your House Representative to non-concur with the Senate's version of the H.4756 "bathroom bill" that recommends a porta potty as an acceptable accommodation. To be relegated to a porta potty while other students, staff, and visitors have access to permanent facilities is demeaning and hurtful.

Congress continues to introduce bills that would require voters to present documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) to register and/or vote. Americans do not need MORE obstacles to vote. The SAVE Act and its iterations would create one more barrier to the voting process, as many eligible voters do not have easy access to the necessary documents. Tell Congress to oppose the SAVE Act suite of bills.
