Communications Team
The Communications Team is at the heart of amplifying our League’s voice—crafting engaging newsletters, managing dynamic social media channels, keeping our website information-rich, and reaching out to news outlets and stakeholders. We’re looking for creative members who love to write, edit, photograph, design graphics, or use social media and technology to connect with our community. Whether you’re a skilled photographer, a graphics enthusiast, or a social media whiz, your talents can help us inform, inspire, and engage. Join us and play a vital role in getting our message out.

Education Team
Are you passionate about supporting public schools and ensuring every child in Beaufort County receives a high-quality education? We invite you to join our dedicated education team, where volunteers work together to address critical issues like book bans, the impact of private school vouchers, and the importance of civics education. By volunteering with us, you’ll help observe and report on Beaufort County School Board meetings, support teacher appreciation activities, organize and assist with school board candidate forums, and play a vital role in shaping the future of our community’s public schools. Your voice and effort can make a real difference—become an advocate for public education today.

Local Issues/Observer Corp
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Join our Observer Corps and play a vital role in strengthening local democracy! As an observer you’ll monitor (in person or virtually) meetings of the Town and County Council in Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and Beaufort County, keeping a watchful eye on issues that matter—like the preservation of sensitive land areas, workforce housing, labor market trends, and transportation. Your involvement helps ensure transparency, encourages civic engagement, and supports outreach to elected officials. Become the eyes and ears of our League and help shape a better future for all!

Social Justice Team
Are you passionate about women’s rights, healthcare, and local government? If you want to help share important updates with League members and the wider community, we invite you to join us and become a catalyst for positive change. We’re seeking dedicated members to attend local meetings and events, identify key issues, and help develop effective action plans. By sharing vital information from municipal meetings, local and county council meetings, you’ll empower voters to make informed choices at the polls and strengthen our community’s voice.

Voter Services Team
Are you passionate about making a difference in our democracy? The Voter Services Team is looking for dedicated members like you to help register and engage new voters, especially those ages 18-40, and to empower all community members with the information they need to vote confidently.
As a team member, you’ll:

Participate in youth voter registration drives at local schools

Share vital election and candidate information through trusted resources like VOTE411.org

Organize and staff booths at community festivals, events, and activities to Get Out the Vote (GOTV)
