The League of Women Voters of Oxford welcomes Karen Francis, Ann Fuehrer and Linda Simmons of the Oxford Homelessness Network and Mark Boardman, City of Oxford Climate Action Steering Committee in presenting information on “Building Community Resiliency: Addressing the needs of homeless people as climate crises build.”

This program will:
• describe the prevalence and situations of people who are unhoused in Oxford, emphasizing their particular vulnerabilities
• demonstrate clear links between increasing climate crises and the need for communities to be prepared to meet harsher challenges and greater demand for resources for survival
• promote discussion of how Oxford can become better prepared to support those who are unhoused when natural disasters affect those without permanent shelter

The meeting will be held on March 29, 2023 at 7PM in the Seminary Building at 104 E. Church St., Oxford, OH. The meeting is cosponsored by Oxford Citizens for Peace & Justice. The meeting is free and open to everyone.
