The League of Women Voters of Oxford, with co-sponsors the Interfaith Center at Miami University and the NAACP Oxford Ohio unit, is hosting a webinar on Community Relations & Law Enforcement in Oxford on August 31 at 7:00pm. Panelists will include two members of the Police Community Relations Review Board (PCRRB), Pat Meade and Dr. Amber Franklin; Oxford Police Chief John Jones; and Nicole Newsome of Black Lives Matter - Oxford Ohio.

PCRRB members will explain the goals of the Board, what they are working on currently, their future plans, and how the community can assist in meeting the goals of the board.

Chief Jones will address how the Oxford Police Department interacts with the PCRRB and the community at large and what he feels the department and the community can do to help provide a “safe and secure” atmosphere in Oxford.

Nicole Newsome, Black Lives Matter - Oxford Ohio, will address the organization’s goal of racial equality and their vision for improvements in Oxford.
